Neyland Community School was formed after an amalgamation of Neyland Infants School & Neyland Junior School in September 2006.

Previously the schools had operated traditionally as two separate institutions. Subsequently, funding was secured to commit to massive improvements in the facilities providing education to the children of Neyland and outlying villages. Initially, the two schools will combine on an administrative level with one Head Teacher and one Deputy Head Teacher between the two schools.

Eventually, a large construction phase will see the whole of the school established on the old Junior School site with the first phase of construction planned for 2009. Eventually the facilities provided will be on a par with the most modern schools in the country providing tremendous opportunities for the children to flourish and excel, with teachers having access to the most up to date learning tools and methods available today.

For the sake of identification purposes the two sites will be referred to as "Infants Site" & "Juniors Site" in the interim period.
